Feb 24, 2006 - A cooperative executive training program was initiated between Tsinghua School of Economics and Management and Korean SK Group. Professor Liao Li, Associate Dean of Tsinghua SEM and Mr. Xu zhong, Vice Director of Tsinghua SEM Executive Education Center were present at the signing ceremony. Professor Liu Lingling received interviews afterwards on behalf of the Tsinghua SEM faculty.

During the signing ceremony, Prof. Liao expressed his sincere congratulations to the strategic cooperation between the two parties. He introduced the school's previous successful experiences in cooperating with multi-national corporations and he added, "Tsinghua SEM is ready and confident to bring this training program into final success."

This executive training program is aimed at SK Group's senior executives. Based on language training, Tsinghua SEM will help these executives gain a deeper perspective on China's history, culture, politics, economy, legal environment as well as Chinese management characteristics. Programs like this will further promote mutual understandings between Tsinghua SEM and multinational companies, enhance Tsinghua SEM's influence and further impact the school's internationalization and new program initiatives.

Through similar programs, Tsinghua SEM Executive Education Center will also try to summarize a series of courses specifically designed to help executives in multinational companies understand China's economic environment. Trainings will consist of language training, cultural and social workshops, economics and management lectures, graduation presentation as well as company or cultural tours.?

SK Group is a Korea-based diversified multi-national group of manufacturing and service providing company, who is active in areas of energy, chemicals, telecommunications, logistics and finance.
