On May 7, 2020, Elsevier officially released the List of Chinese Most Cited Researchers in 2019. A total of four professors from School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University have been selected to the list. Mansfield Freeman Chair Professor BAI Chong-En, Dean of Tsinghua SEM, and QIAN Yingyi, Distinguished Professor of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences, Tsinghua University, Professor of Tsinghua SEM, were included in the List of Economics, Econometrics and Finance. CHEN Yubo, Senior Associate Dean, Professor of Tsinghua SEM, and Steven White, Associate Professor of Tsinghua SEM, were included in the List of Business, Management and Accounting.

The List of Chinese Most Cited Researchers adopts the methods and standards developed by Shanghai Education Information Consulting Co., LTD., and systematically analyzes the influence of Chinese researchers in the world based on objective cited data. Elsevier, as a partner, provided data support and technical implementation for the list. Elsevier's Scopus Database is the world's largest peer-reviewed index abstract database of academic papers, providing a large number of documents, authors and research institutions related to scientific research activities. Since 2015, it is the sixth time that Elsevier has officially published the List of Chinese Most Cited Researchers.
