Knowledge creation is equally important in private and public entities. Building on the theory of the knowledge-based firm, the process of knowledge creation in public or social entities is known as social entrepreneuring. Case studies illustrate the organizational and leadership challenges of selected entities that managed their self-transcending and self-renewal process.
