In his speech, Mark Zuckerberg shared how he started thinking about Facebook’s mission, what has kept him going through challenging times and what his mission means now looking ahead for Facebook with 1.5 billion users.

By telling three stories, Mark Zuckerberg remarked that the themes of believing in your mission, caring more deeply than anyone else and always looking ahead are relevant to anything people might build. He also emphasized that knowing “why” you should build is the essence of leading with a mission.
