◢ Introduction

Established in 2008, the China Research Center for Insurance and Risk Management, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University aims to improve the teaching and scientific research level of the Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management in insurance and risk management, enhance the international academic influence, promote the exchange and cooperation between China and the world in the field of insurance and risk management research, and provide innovative research results and advice for the government and the business circle.

Research fields: The center undertakes research projects of the state, ministries and commissions and the insurance industry, and conducts relevant research; carries out theoretical and practical research projects with relevant government departments, the insurance industry, and academic institutions. It also organizes theoretical and practical research in the fields of insurance and risk management. Its main research areas include longevity risk and insurance, catastrophe risk and insurance, enterprise risk management, enterprise annuity, insurance securitization, insurance economics, life and health insurance, etc.

Mission: To build a world-class insurance and risk management research base, especially in the research of insurance market development and regulation, and to become a first-class research center in Asia; be able to provide relevant training for enterprises, government departments, and other colleges and universities, and help them obtain good social benefits; be able to become the center of consultation and cooperation between the government and the business sector.
