◢ Introduction

The Research Center for China’s Industrial Development, School of Economics and Management, Tsinghua University was established in 2011. It is committed to the research on the frontier theoretical and practical problems of China’s industrial development and regional strategy. It mainly targets promoting the cultivation of China’s strategic emerging industries, industrial innovation, industrial transformation and industrial structure upgrading, new economic growth points, the layout optimization and structural adjustment of the state-owned economy, building a new development pattern with the domestic big cycle as the main body and the domestic and international double cycles promoting each other, and promoting the construction of a resource-saving and environment-friendly society. By setting up a platform for cooperation of enterprises, universities and research institutions, the center carries out relevant research and practice, and explores how to select industries with strong radiation driving force with innovation as the main driving force, upgrade the industrial level, promote the upgrading of traditional industries, build a modern industrial system from a high starting point, adjust and optimize the industrial structure based on accelerating the transformation of the economic development mode in the context of profound changes in global economic competition, to provide intellectual support for China’s industrial development.
