LIN Zhijie, a tenured associate professor of Management Science and Engineering at Tsinghua University School of Economics and Management (Tsinghua SEM), was conferred the Sandy Slaughter Early Career Award by the Information Systems Society of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences (INFORMS ISS) at the Conference on Information Systems and Technology (CIST) held on October 15, 2023, in Arizona, USA.

LIN Zhijie is awarded the INFORMS ISS Sandy Slaughter Early Career Award by the Information Systems Society of the Institute for Operations Research and the Management Sciences.

INFORMS ISS is an authoritative academic organization in information systems. The Sandy Slaughter Early Career Award aims to recognize young scholars for outstanding contributions and influence in information systems. LIN is the first receiver in an institution from Chinese mainland since the establishment of the award.

LIN Zhijie

LIN Zhijie is a tenured associate professor in the Department of Management Science and Engineering at Tsinghua SEM. He is also a standing director of the China Information Economics Society (CIES), director of its Youth Work Committee, and deputy director of its Platform Management Professional Committee. He has received grants from the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, as well as the Excellent Young Scientists Fund. LIN's research interests include economics of information systems, sharing economy, e-commerce, and social media. He has published more than 30 articles in domestic and foreign journals and newspapers such as MIS Quarterly, Information Systems Research, Journal of Marketing, Production and Operations Management, Guangming Daily, and Economic Daily, 13 of which have appeared in top business journals such as UT Dallas 24 and Financial Times 50, and was cited more than 2,600 times on Google Scholar. He is the senior editor of the Journal of the Association for Information Systems, and he has also won many awards including the Academic Newcomer Award of Tsinghua University, Supervisor for Excellent Master's Thesis, Excellent Faculty of Tsinghua SEM, Excellent Research Award, Excellent Class Adviser, the Wu Jiapei Grant of CIES, Award of the Systems Engineering Society of China (the Young Scholar Award), and Youth Award of the Chinese Academy of Management.
